‘Bones’ season 10 spoilers: All about the new serial killer

We feel rather lucky in a way to be getting so many different “Bones” stories at the moment, especially since we’re almost at the moment now where we have arrived at the show’s March 26 return.

Since we’re not there yet, though, why not spend a minute or two discussing the arrival of the next serial killer? We loved Pelant, and felt like the Ghost Killer left a whole lot to be desired. We feel like much of the reason for our distaste for the latter was mostly that we built it up to be something so much grander than it ultimately was, which is why we are in many ways grateful that executive producer Hart Hanson has put some sort of timeframe on this. Just take a look at what he had to say about the subject to TV Guide:

“Our other serial killers have existed for great, huge arcs, so they’ve had to be quite complex … This serial killer does not stick around for very long, so that killer’s motivations are a little more clear and not as bizarre as we’ve had before.”

At this point in the show’s run, there would be something rather interesting about killer who is more violent and aggressive than tactical, and it forces our characters to go about finding ways to take him or her down in ways that they have not before.

While we feel like the show will be back for another season, we do still think it’s always nice to close a batch of episodes with an adversary that is somewhat epic.
