ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: ‘True Blood’ alum to play Mellie’s sister

Mellie -There are many different stories going on right now with Mellie on “Scandal,” whether it be her present dream of running for President or all of her constant drama with Olivia Pope.

One thing that we have known to be coming up for some time is that we’ll be meeting her sister; now, we are getting set to see just who will be the woman behind the role. Sources confirm that Lauren Bowles, who you may know as Merlotte’s waitress / Sheriff Andy love interest Holly on “True Blood,” has been brought on to be Harmony. In true “Scandal” fashion, that is just about everything that is being released right now. She could appear in one episode or multiple installments; it just depends on wherever the story decides to go. Given how little we’ve come to know about Mellie’s early years, though, this should make for an exciting addition to the show and the world.

As of right now, the ABC series is in a rather interesting position. We are coming off of an emotional episode in “The Lawn Chair” that while stellar, did not really do a whole lot to set up what lies ahead. It was considerably more procedural than the remainder of the standard episodes of this show.

Expect to see Bowles in early April; next week, you will have another high-profile guest star in Lena Dunham, who is playing a woman who has the capability to release a variety of different secrets related to members of the Washington elite.
