‘Jane the Virgin’ episode 16 preview: Gina Rodriguez’s Jane versus writer’s block

Jane the Virgin -Tonight, “Jane the Virgin” returned to The CW after a brief hiatus, and it brought to you a story that threw some more complications at our leading lady. You can never say that this show is at a loss when it comes to figuring out what it wants Gina Rodriguez to bring to the table. “Chapter 16” will be the latest reflection of that, as Jane is struggling both with Rafael and also curing what is a case of writer’s block. How is she going to get out of that? This is one of the many struggles in this hour.

If you’re looking for more in the way of specifics, allow us to point you to the synopsis below for answers. Hopefully, this gives you even more enthusiasm for what to expect:

“Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is feeling distant from Rafael (Justin Baldoni) so she focuses on her writing instead, but is stuck with a case of writers block. When Jane runs into Michael (Brett Dier) he mentions a romance writing workshop, and she thinks she has found the solution. Petra (Yael Grobglas) has a solution to finding a musical performer for the Mirabella’s Calle Ocho celebration, but it forces Rafael to ask Rogelio (Jaime Camil) for help. Rogelio is struggling with his new character as a detective, so he gets the brilliant idea to shadow Michael for real cop experience. Meanwhile, Xo (Andrea Navedo) has made a decision about her life with Rogelio which causes a rift between her and Alba (Ivonne Coll).”
