‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: ‘Shake-up’ could rock Britt Nilsson, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Jade Roper’s world

Just earlier today, it started to look more and more like there was a big change coming for “The Bachelorette,” judging by the fact that both Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe were each out filming something in Hollywood. It may not be the ABC show at all, but what if it was?

What we do know now is that it appears more than ever like a big change is coming to the long-beloved franchise. Per E! News, there is a big “shake-up” coming to the format, and all will be explained during tonight’s “After the Final Rose” event. It is really not altogether difficult to figure out just why producers would decide that they want to do this. The ratings for Andi Dorfman’s season were the lowest that they’ve been for this version of the franchise; while the “Bachelor” itself does very well, for some reason many people choose to tune out in the summer. Maybe they like the drama better when it is women competing versus men, or maybe it is a symptom of people having other things that they would rather be doing in the warm months. Update: Read the official confirmation now!

What this announcement does do is create more intrigue, especially when it comes to our own dream idea of there maybe being two Bachelorettes, and you watch them both on a certain path to find love. This means that maybe Kaitlyn and Britt are not the only candidates; you could also through someone like Jade Roper in as a remote possibility.

One other thing to think about is a public vote for the lead, or something where the men decide the first night … but that’d be tough to pull off now, where you market the entire season around two women, only for one to actually get the part.
