‘Madam Secretary’ episode 16 preview: Is Tea Leoni’s Elizabeth about to solve Marsh mystery?
Before “Madam Secretary” began airing all-new episodes this March, some of the early gossip suggesting that the entire story of Secretary Marsh would be a trilogy. While we cannot for sure confirm that, we can say that more answers are likely coming in “Tamerlane,” which is the upcoming 16th episode of the season airing next Sunday. Granted, things are never so simple for Elizabeth as trying to just solve one mission; instead, she will once again have a million different things on her plate to juggle.
As the official synopsis for this installment reveals below, much of the problem for Tea Leoni’s character has to do with a coup in Iran. Trying to deal with that simultaneously with the investigation is difficult. Her staff is involved more than ever before, and she may need them in order to put together all the pieces. So far, the promise of featuring more of the staff than ever before has been fulfilled:
“Elizabeth secretly travels to Iran in an attempt to prevent a coup that could impact President Dalton’s administration. Also, she brings her staff up to speed on the investigation into Marsh’s death, on MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, March 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Anna Deveare Smith (“Nurse Jackie,” “The West Wing”) guest stars as Attorney General Mary Campbell.”
Even if this story sets aside the Marsh story for a while, there will be many other plotlines coming up. After all, “Tamerlane” is only the third of seven straight episodes that is airing every week, with the only hiatus coming after that being due to the ACM Awards.
