‘The Musketeers’ season 2, episode 9 preview: To save the Queen
If you thought that the stakes were high on “The Musketeers” at various times so far this season, be prepared for something greater now. There are only a tiny handful of episodes still to go in the second season, and in the process of seeing what lies ahead, hopefully we are going to be surprised somewhere along the way.
What we can at least tell you right now is that going into next week, saving the Queen, and also proving that Rochefort is not what he is cracked up to be, are going to be enormous priorities. For some more news when it comes to that, you don’t have to look any further than the attached synopsis:
“The Musketeers must put their lives on the line when the Queen is accused of treason … They have no choice but to steal her away from the Palace to safety, while they search for evidence to prove that Rochefort is a Spanish spy. However it soon transpires that nobody is safe from Rochefort’s grasp, not even the King, with devastating consequences.”
Let’s just hope here that in the end, this is going to be a way for the show to build for the finale, when some of these consequences will start to unravel a little bit. We do hope that Rochefort’s story is somewhat wrapped up this season, though; this is the sort of show that, at least to us, really benefits more from having different adversaries for the characters to square off against on a season by season basis.
