‘Doctor Who’: Richard Madden wants to appear (but probably not in season 9)

Doctor Who -For all of those who love “Game of Thrones,” there would be a certain element of joy in seeing former star Richard Madden hop aboard another geek fan favorite in “Doctor Who.” Could it actually happen? Maybe someday, but probably not right now.

Madden is currently in the process of promoting his upcoming movie “Cinderella,” and speaking to Zap2It, he confirmed that he would love to be on the BBC series at some point in his career. The twist? He’s currently dating Jenna Coleman (who plays Clara on the show), and he’s not so inclined to start mixing his personal and professional worlds quite like that:

“That would probably be weird … I’d love to be in ‘Doctor Who’ one day, but maybe not while Jenna’s in the show.”

Coleman has already confirmed that she is going to be returning for the ninth season, and this followed months of speculation about her own future on the show. She and Peter Capaldi have formed quite the popular combination, and we anticipate some more great adventures between the two of them. With that being said, almost everything within the world of “Doctor Who” is finite. All good things come to an end, and Coleman will probably leave the show at some point in the relatively near future to do other things.

Until that point, Madden will probably be very busy. He’s already been doing quite a bit of work since Robb Stark’s untimely demise. We don’t see that changing at any point in the near future.
