Good news, “Hart of Dixie” fans: It still feels like The CW has not made up their mind on whether or not to bring the show back for a fifth season. They unveiled some of the first details about the season 4 finale today, and in the press release, they specifically noted that it was a “season finale.” We’re inclined to believe that there really is some ambiguity there. After all, what would the motivation be to hide the truth at this point? If they wanted to end the series, it’s better to give fans the sense of closure than to lead them on endlessly.
We’ll probably know the decision on whether or not there will be a season 5 come the upfront presentation in May. For now, what we can do for you is share some of the first details on this episode, which carries with it the title of “Bluebell” and airs on Friday, March 27:
“As Zoe (Rachel Bilson) and Wade (Wilson Bethel) try to work out their issues, Zoe makes a life-changing decision and Wade does everything he can to make it happen before their baby is born. Lavon (Cress Williams) feels guilty about misleading Lemon (Jaime King) and is determined to make things right. Meanwhile, George (Scott Porter) and AnnaBeth (Kaitlyn Black) are frustrated with their current situation, leaving them with a big decision to be made.”
Clearly, everyone is making big decisions, and there should be a certain element of closure to the story after this one airs. Many cast members acted like this was the series finale when it was filmed, mostly because they wanted to be emotionally prepared regardless of what happens.
