‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: Meet Dahlia!

You knew that we were going to be meeting Dahlia on “The Originals” eventually … right? Well, the time for waiting for casting information is at least over.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Claudia Black of “Farscape” fame has been cast to play the role of Esther’s older sister, a super-powerful witch whose “deal” from so many years ago could spell trouble for Baby Hope. We’ve had the indication that she could be coming for some time, and we hear that she will make her first appearance during the upcoming 16th episode of season 2. While it may be a little too early right now to say with full confidence that she is the Big Bad of the rest of the season, she will at least be a key adversary that the other characters are going to have to contend with.

This has just been a very hard year for the Mikaelson family in general when it comes to taking on various opponents. Just think about this for a minute here. We’ve already seen them try to battle things out with both Mikael and Esther, and now, Dahlia seems to be next. Is there ever going to be a time when there is peace, and these family members actually stop trying to make one another miserable? That is a good questions, but it is not one we have a definitive answers for at this very moment.

While “The Originals” is currently on hiatus, new episodes will begin airing once again starting on Monday, March 16. From there, they may able to air with very little introduction the rest of the way this season.
