Kelly Osbourne leaves ‘Fashion Police’ after Giuliana Rancic, Zendaya controversy
E! confirmed today that they are now without yet another member of their panel, which already underwent huge changes following the death of Joan Rivers. Now, Rancic is actually the longest-tenured person on the series. Here is what the network had to say in a statement:
“Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s “Fashion Police” to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers. “Fashion Police” will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement.”
Now, it is obvious that you can say that there may not be a connection at all between Kelly’s exit from the show and everything else that went on, but this does seem to be her decision in the end. Whether or not it was ultimately connected to the controversy is unclear. The tweet below is just what some are considering the smoking gun. (She did, however, say after Rancic’s apology that everyone should try to move forward.)
We don’t feel like E! will be in a huge hurry to replace Kelly, and it may take many weeks to figure it out.
