‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 15 reaction: Show boss on Ray, Felicity, and Oliver’s future

Arrow -Tonight’s “Arrow” episode was certainly stuffed with a variety of different shockers and storylines, and we know for the most part here that one that everyone will be talking about was Ra’s al Ghul’s offer to Oliver Queen.

Will he actually want to take over for Ra’s and become the new Demon, or does he really have a choice? These are both questions that are worth asking, and it does not appear as though there is any sort of concise answer here either way. We don’t want to spend too much time here talking about this, since we’re going to have plenty of opportunities to discuss this moving forward. Instead, let’s chat about Ray and Felicity. These two are together … at least for now. The big thing to remember is that you shouldn’t interpret these two getting together as a sign that Felicity will be done with Oliver forever.

Speaking in a post-mortem article for this episode to TVLine, executive producer Marc Guggenheim made it clear just what you can hope for when it comes to this complicated romance moving forward:

“Part of the fun of watching couples on television is keeping them apart and watching how other people come in and out of their lives … For right now, Oliver has decided that [he] can’t do this, and Felicity’s not just going to sit around waiting for him. She’s probably the most healthy of all of them. He’s the one shutting himself down, emotionally, when he has this amazing person who’s basically offering him hope, guidance, friendship and love and everything. He doesn’t feel he deserves it and doesn’t feel that’s what’s best for her, whether she agrees with it or not.”
