‘Shameless’ season 5 spoilers: Emmy Rossum teases closure for Fiona, Jimmy

What is going to happen with Fiona and Jimmy on “Shameless”? That is definitely a question worth asking, and due to the Oscars, Showtime has made you wait a little bit longer to see what lies ahead on the series. Luckily, Sunday is not that far away anymore, and hopefully over the course of this episode, you will get a chance to learn a little more about how she will find a way to make her feelings clear, both for the sake of her present and her future. Granted, she has done far more with Justin Chatwin’s character already than she really should have.

Speaking to E! News, we have a small quote from Emmy Rossum that should give you a little bit of hope that interesting things are going to be coming up soon:

“Fiona will hopefully get her stuff together … There will be resolution with the Jimmy character.”

As of right now, one of the biggest questions is whether or not Fiona will give into the temptation to run off with Jimmy, leaving Gus and everyone else behind. As much as we like the Jimmy character, though, Fiona probably does need to move on. After all, it is pretty darn clear that these two are not exactly good for each other.

Regardless of whatever the resolution to this story is, know that there is still quite a bit of other good stuff still to come. We’ll just have to see what happens moving into the future.
