‘Better Call Saul’ spoilers: Another ‘Breaking Bad’ star looking to appear

Better Call Saul season 1One of the things that we know that “Better Call Saul” is trying to do is establish its own identity in season 1. While executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have brought on Tuco, we get the sense that for the most part, they are avoiding cameos from major “Breaking Bad” stars. Neither Bryan Cranston nor Aaron Paul are going to be appearing on the show this season, and we haven’t heard anything about some of the other characters just yet beyond Mike, who is already a regular.

Luckily, we do know at least one bit of good news for Marie fans: Betsy Brandt is interested in coming back at some point herself! Speaking on this subject to E! News in a new interview, the actress had the following to say about her hope to turn up:

“I can’t promise anything yet … But it’s such a great show…I am down!”

At the moment, we’d put Gus Fring at the top of the power rankings for people we’d want to see on the show at some point this season, mostly because of the fact that he has connections to Saul Goodman / Jimmy McGill that are very apparent. Most of the other main “Breaking Bad” characters would just be fan service, and not necessarily anything more.

We are just about at the halfway point of this season already; the story is going strong, and while we want to see some “Breaking Bad” homages here and there, the honest truth is that we don’t actually need them.
