‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 finale review: Did Katrina, Irving, or Abbie die in the aftermath?

Katrina -From a few episodes into “Sleepy Hollow” season, there was one question we wondered: Are Katrina’s days numbered? She never completely fit in with the show itself, especially when you brought the character into the present.

With all of this in mind, it is somewhat ironic that right when you start to give the character something great to do for really the first time all season, she ends up being killed off. Were you shocked? We weren’t so much by the act, but instead the way in which it managed to happen near the end of the episode. She made it back to the present alongside Ichabod and Abbie, and after a fight, ended up dead due to her own knife. It was a fitting end to the character, and a nice step forward for the show.

Of course, this was not the only major event that took place in the finale. After all, remember here that we also saw so much time-jumping, Abbie making her passcode Crane’s birthday, and some other small moments of joy.

The biggest thing to take away from this finale, though, was almost a feeling of the show washing its hands of much of what we saw this season. With the Crane family drama over, the show can seemingly focus back on what made it so strong in the first season, and that is the dynamic of Ichabod and Abbie. While we’re not sure the two get together immediately, it will be interesting to see who rises as their next foes.

In the end, a solid end to what was a complicated season. We just wish most of the season was more like it. Grade: B.
