‘Blue Bloods’ season 5, episode 17 preview: Erin’s trouble in ‘Occupational Hazards’

Blue Bloods season 5We suppose that we should start off this particular “Blue Bloods” season 5 article with what should be considered the bad news: There is no new episode airing on CBS next week. This is one of those rare occasions in which there is a new episode of “Hawaii Five-0,” but this series is taking a week off. In case you’re wondering why, it is strictly a matter of there being different episode counts between the show.

When this series does return on Friday, March 6, it will do so with an episode entitled “Occupational Hazards” that is going to feature a variety of major conflicts. Want to know more? Then just be sure to check out the attached synopsis:

“Erin is rattled when an unknown assailant breaks into her apartment and also attacks her co-worker. Meanwhile, Jamie and Eddie discover a pipe bomb in an elderly woman’s apartment, and Frank looks into a charity that is soliciting money for the NYPD.”

While we cannot say that there is anything coming up that drastically makes this episode different from any before it, doesn’t it still sound like a reasonably strong hour? We like to think so.

Ultimately, what we really want to see here is a story that allows for Danny, Erin, or one of the other characters to have forward movement. Specifically, a case that is not tied up in a single week. We know that this is not entirely the show’s style, but it is nice to mix things up from time time.
