‘Constantine’ season 2: The latest status update on renewal, cancellation

Constantine -The first season of “Constantine” ended on NBC a week ago, and while the network has already made their decision on a few of their primetime drama series, they have not been so kind to Matt Ryan and company. To a certain extent, we understand it. The ratings have been lower here compared to other shows, and they want to assess everything else that is coming up on the schedule before figuring this out.

Just in case you wanted some specific information on what the timeline could be, we have it for you here! In a series of posts on Twitter, executive producer Daniel Cerone made a number of different things clear that are well worth knowing.

1. As you may have heard, the network has until May to determine whether or not they want to pick up the show. This is when they will sell their new slate at the upfronts.

2. Also, Cerone made it clear that the contracts for the actors last until June, and that should give the studio a chance to find a new potential suitor if one is out there. We’re not sure where it would land just yet, since some of that Syfy talk turned out to just be rumors for the time being.

3. Finally, he is working to try to see if the entire season can be made available for streaming, beyond just the past five episodes. This is an opportunity to allow more and more people to catch up from the very beginning, which in turn would help season 2 numbers.
