‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5, episode 17 preview: Daniel Dae Kim directs!

There is quite a bit to look forward to on the next new episode of “Hawaii Five-0.” First things first, guest stars! Not only are you going to get the legendary Cloris Leachman and “Saturday Night Live” alum Jon Lovitz on board, but you also have Max Weinberg! We’re a longtime fan of the onetime Conan O’Brien bandleader, and we would watch him in just about everything.

One other thing to be excited about right now is the presence of Daniel Dae Kim as director, who is helming an episode for the first time. The title for this episode is “Kuka’awale” or “Stakeout,” and you can check out the full synopsis below:

“McGarrett and Danny work on their relationship while they stakeout a woman’s apartment after she escapes following a diamond robbery, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Feb. 27 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Series star Daniel Dae Kim makes his directorial debut. Max Weinberg, Emmy Award winner Cloris Leachman, Charlie Saxton, Jon Lovitz and Jessica Lowndes guest star.”

This episode also is going to continue what is a pretty big trend of new episodes. We have seen new installments throughout the month of February, and that is going to continue as we get deeper and deeper into March! By the time the end of the month rolls around, that is when we start to imagine that NCAA basketball is going to rear its head, and it will be a little more touch-and-go for when certain episodes will air.
