‘Orange is the New Black’ season 3 spoilers: Jason Biggs not returning

How about this for a major shake-up on “Orange Is the New Black“? After two seasons of play a key part in the show as Larry, Jason Biggs is no longer going to be a key component of the Netflix series.

It was Biggs himself who first confirmed this to the New York Daily News, telling the publication that “they’re not focusing on Larry at the moment … Larry will not be in Season 3. But there’s always a possibility he can come back.” We’re not entirely sure if he ever will in a prominent role, given that he and Polly had something going for the two of them at the end of season 2, and there is no real reason to be a major fixture for Piper moving forward.

This move could big the best for all parties involved, given that it allows Biggs a chance to go out and pursue other things, including a show where he can seemingly play a more popular, interesting character. One of his biggest problems here is strictly that Larry was not an easy guy to like the majority of the time. It’s always hard to root for someone who is a little more on the straight and narrow than the other characters, and Piper’s life with him before prison was rather boring.

This new season will begin streaming on Netflix a little later this summer. We do still wonder given the premise of this show and the given amount of time the characters can be behind bars, just how long it could actually last in the end.
