‘Two and a Half Men’ series finale: A cryptic promo, more from Charlie Sheen
Now, we have two piece of evidence that there may not be a Charlie Harper appearance, after all, starting with a Twitter tease from Sheen hyping up his appearance on “The Goldbergs” next week, and also saying “I go where the love is.” Maybe this is an old-school misdirect designed to throw us off the scent, but if Charlie is not in the finale, it’d be pretty sad. We had a strong feeling before today that he was appearing, mostly due to Ashton Kutcher’s behavior on a recent interview with “Ellen” suggesting that he was terrified to film some of what was coming in the show’s last episode.
The promo below does suggest that Charlie is alive … but only “kind of.” What does Rose exactly mean here? Judging from seeing the back of her head, we wonder if this is some sort of twist that Jenny is actually Charlie after extensive surgery, or that his soul was somehow implanted into her body. If Amber Tamblyn is back for the episode and Charlie is not, what other explanation could there be? It’s absurd, but so is the majority of the show.
All we can say for sure is that the plan for the finale is to pay tribute to the series past and present, and that includes the first eight seasons. Obviously, we’d be happiest if Sheen is a part of it.
