Tracy Morgan attorney offers update after ‘Saturday Night Live’ special

Tracy Jordan -While Tracy Morgan’s recovery has never drifted too far from our mind over the course of the past several months, the story of his condition did rise to the forefront of conversation again recently due to the “Saturday Night Live” 40th Anniversary Special. During the event, Morgan’s friends and former “30 Rock” co-stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin both wished that he could have been there, but they wished him all the best as he continues to recover from a devastating accident last year that took the life of his friend / fellow comic James McNair.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly today, a source close to Tracy says that he “would have loved to have been there, but he just isn’t up for it at this point.” Meanwhile, his attorney Benedict P. Morelli tells People Magazine that he is”making incremental progress … But they’ll have to wait another month before they assess him cognitively.” He is still reportedly using mostly a wheelchair, and while he has improved dramatically since the time of the accident, there is still a long ways to go. Morgan has not given a public interview since the accident, choosing to let his attorneys and representatives do most of the talking for him.

Hopefully, we are going to see Morgan back at some point, and hope that he takes all of the time that he needs. He may never be the same, but the most important thing is that he is able to have a happy life moving forward.

We are going to have some further news related to Morgan soon, so we will have updates as soon as they come out.
