‘Shameless’ season 5, episode 7 preview: Will Fiona leave with Jimmy to Dubai?

Someone’s got a gun on “Shameless” next week! Surprisingly, we really cannot even act like this is a shock, mostly because this is the sort of thing that just exists in this world the vast majority of the time.

As a whole, Sunday night’s new episode just seems like it is going to be a blast and then some, as we are going to have a chance to see just what happens to bring Frank to the position where he has a firearm pointed at his head. Once again, we have to say that we’re not even remotely shocked that it has gotten to this place for him.

What will be the other big storyline to watch next week is whether or not Fiona decides to take off to Dubai with Jimmy, who makes the offer after the two slept together … which you cannot be too shocked about. There’s not a single person on this show more self-destructive than Emmy Rossum’s character, who continues to make these same terrible decisions even after taking a step in the right direction. After all, Gus actually seems like a fairly normal guy who is not going to be treating her terribly.

Do we really think that we are going to see Fiona leave? Not permanently, mostly because of the fact that Rossum is a huge part of this show, and one way or another, we cannot imagine the show without her. Also, removing her from the rest of the Gallagher family dynamic would be no fun.
