‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 10 preview: Michonne, Sasha’s confrontation on the road
We’re not going to lie to you here and say that the characters of “The Walking Dead” are looking and feeling good going into Sunday night’s new episode. As a matter of fact, the new sneak peek below definitely makes it look like they are going through Hell. These are people that are suffering, and for a variety of reasons. The obvious one is simply that they are still having to fight to escape walkers at every turn, and that is no easy task. Add to this the fact that they also are dehydrated, and also mourning the loss of the dead.
If there is one person dealing with grief especially right now, it is Sasha. Just remember the full extent of her sadness as of late. First, she lost her boyfriend-of-sorts in Bob, who saw his leg become cannibal food before he was eventually killed off. Then, last week’s story was mostly about the drawn-out death of her brother Tyreese.
What seems to set Sasha off in her conversation with Michonne is the simple notion of being compared to her brother, when in fact they are different people with different ideals. Sasha is not nearly the optimist that he was, and also has her own set of ideals and thoughts about this world.
We expect this character to go on an emotional journey over the next few weeks, and Michonne could be a shoulder to cry on … if Sasha allows herself to. It’s remarkable just how different a character Michonne is now from who we met during her first appearance. Also remarkable? How well the show has hidden Sonequa Martin-Green’s pregnancy of the course of this season. Compared to other shows, it is remarkable.
