‘Mad Men’ season 7 spoilers: New photo of Jon Hamm’s Don Draper

As we inch ever closer to the April 5 return of “Mad Men” with the final seven episodes, it appears that AMC is starting to make their promotional campaign clear. With that in mind,  we present the first photo from the final seven episodes!

When it comes to content, though, there’s not a whole lot to say here other than that we have Don Draper (Jon Hamm) seemingly embracing color in his fashion, and relaxing by what appears to be a pool. Of course, there is a drink in hand. The big takeaway from this image is mostly the increased element of color across the board. This is a show that, really until the past couple of years, tended to accentuate more of the greys and browns and blacks. Now, the characters are keeping up with the fashion of the times. We’re not sure that anyone would wear a suit jacket of this color today, but Don certainly makes it work. Then again, Don could make almost anything work.

The big question that remains right now for the series is what happens next for Don when it comes to his life. Things appear to be over for him and Megan, so will he bury himself in his work? Is it possible for him to have a happy ending? We don’t see him as a Walter White or someone who is so far gone that he cannot be redeemed. For Don, the question is whether or not he is willing to work at it.
