‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11, episode 12 preview: Ellen Pompeo’s story in ‘The Great Pretender’
“The Great Pretender” just sounds even on the surface like it has the makings to be a great “Grey’s Anatomy” episode. We love the title, and we also love the potential here of getting a story that really runs the gamut of emotions. What we of course don’t love is seeing people go through hard times, and that will be continuing. We’re sure that some of you will still be happy to see more of Ben, though, given that he and Catherine Avery are two of the most prominent members of the guest cast in this episode.
To see some other details right now, including more tension between Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith and Maggie, take a look at the attached synopsis:
“Maggie gets upset when Meredith dodges her questions about DC; Bailey and Ben become concerned about Ben’s brother after he is admitted to the hospital, and Dr. Herman starts to warm up to Arizona. Meanwhile, Richard feels manipulated by Catherine.”
The crazy thing here is that this episode really only marks the halfway point of the season. While many other episodes on other networks are going to have some lengthy hiatuses moving forward, we’re not going to have that here! We look forward to bringing you a variety of new scoops as the weeks and months press on. Stay tuned, as we’re going to have a promo up here as soon as it is put online.
The problem for Meredith here is ultimately pretty clear: Maggie knows the truth, and it is up to her if she wants to share an answer or two.
