‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5, episode 15 preview: Love (and war) is in the air!

With Valentine’s Day coming up shortly, who doesn’t love seeing a little bit of romance out there on “Hawaii Five-0“? This is certainly a show that could use a little bit of romance here and there, given that it is for the most part continually focused more on solving crimes and kicking butt.

For those who prefer that, don’t worry: This episode will also have plenty of that and then some. It’s hard to really expect a whole lot of anything else when you have someone like Barkhad Abdi from “Captain Phillips” on your show in the role of a man with a secret warlord past. The series has already professed that this is their version of the Kony story that drew so many headlines in the past.

Unfortunately, the promo is so quick that there is not a whole lot else to grasp onto … save for maybe that Jorge Garcia is awesome and that we’re excited to see more of him on the show. Adding him and Chi McBride over the past few years have been some huge additions to the series. They’re both guys that we have loved in other things, and they bring so many different layers to the show.

Even with the action, we’re going to consider this episode a breath of fresh air in what has been at times a very difficult series for some of these characters. After all, we do still know that there are a variety of hard times coming up still, especially as we get near the end of this season.
