‘Blue Bloods’ season 5, episode 15 video: Erin, Eddie struggle in different ways

“Blue Bloods” is going to be back on the air Friday night with a new episode, and early indications are that this one will certainly be packed full of emotion. This will be even more true if you are speaking in terms of what is transpiring with the Erin and Eddie characters.

The promo below teases some of this, as Erin is going to be forced to travel in order to try to fulfill the responsibilities of her job and specifically, an extremely difficult case. Meanwhile, we are going to see Eddie deal with the ramifications of a specific shot that she fires, and that will not be an easy situation for her to handle once the reverberations start to come in.

We like that in this current era, where there is a massive amount of sensitivity and also questions regarding the role of police as protectors, “Blue Bloods” is not straying away from controversial subjects. This is something that they have continued to do in just about every episode for many years now, and it is nice to see that they are keeping this tradition alive now when they could easy opt to steer clear and focus on some more generic subjects.

What may make this episode stand out ultimately is that this is an installment that really seems to be intent on putting the female characters in the spotlight. While we know that Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg will certainly have their time to shine, the ladies have not taken front and center to this great capacity in a while.
