‘Empire’ episode 7 preview: Cookie, Anika battle it out

You should really stop us when this sounds familiar (though you would be stopping us almost immediately): On next week’s all-new episode of “Empire,” Cookie and Anika are going to remind us that they do not exactly get along. The company may be dominant in so many ways, and yet internal strife could end up tearing it apart from top to bottom. It is crazy to think about in many ways, but that does not make it any less true.

The title for this episode is “Our Dancing Days,” which we like from a nostalgic point of view in that it reminds us of what was probably a nice time gone by for man of these characters where things were not so complicated and happiness was much more prevalent. Now, we’ve got Lucious attempting to sell the company as one thing to the public, when there are a variety of problems privately that may keep it from meeting that perception.

If you have not seen it already, take a look at this particular episode’s synopsis below:

“Tension mounts between Hakeem and Jamal, as Lucious attempts to brand Empire Entertainment as a tight-knit, “family-run” company. Meanwhile, Cookie and Anika don’t hold anything back when it comes to taking over the company.”

Tomorrow night, we’re going to have a chance to see if the show meets the ratings performance of the past few weeks! This has become the surprise ratings force of the season, and we don’t see that changing in the near future.
