‘The Mentalist’ series finale spoilers: See Simon Baker, Robin Tunney in first promo
It may be hard to believe, but come a week’s time, you will be sitting here well aware that the end of “The Mentalist” has come and gone. This was a heck of a remarkable show for CBS over the years. It managed to establish a great footprint, make Simon Baker into a huge star around the world, and entertain even during the darkest of times.
For next week’s installment, you can check a truly nostalgic affair as the likes of Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) are getting married! We said earlier when we shared the attached photo that we were surprised at how much the show was giving away, and we’re even more surprised with the super-short promo. At least with the photo, there was no guarantee that the wedding goes off without a hitch. Now, we have confirmation that the two share their kiss, and now are officially husband and wife. If you didn’t feel butterflies after seeing this, we question just how long you’ve really watched this show.
We suppose that the network is not really about trying to make drama out of the moment. These final two episodes overall should be about fan service, and making you feel that everyone has a future you would want. We feel like the real drama and pain of the show ended with Red John did. The nice thing about that not being the series finale, though, was seeing just how Patrick Jane would heal. We would’ve been sad if we did not have that opportunity to watch it.
We’re sure that we will have more news related to the finale soon, so stay tuned.

Patrick buys the cabin in the woods by the lake he looked at the last time. They both seems contented and happy until one day Patrick comes home, calls out for Lisbon then walks into their bedroom and sees Red Johns happy face on the wall….. scene fades to black.

I not only felt butterflies but I was absolutely giddy. I just kept smiling!! I hate to see the show end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It did not get as long of a run as I would have liked to see. But I am happy that it appears that it will have a happy ending. I too am glad the show didn’t end with the killing of Red John. It has been great to see Patrick Jane start to heal and start to live and love again. For me if he hadn’t started to heal after killing Red John I would have been disappointed. It would have been like his long pursuit for justice for his family had all been a waste of time. I know it is just a TV show but for me in my mind Patrick Jane, Lisbon, Cho, Rigsby, and VanPelt will live long, healthy, and happy lives. I can’t wait to see the wedding. It better be real and not some dream of Lisbon’s or Jane’s.
