‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12, episode 14 preview: Walden prepares to divorce Alan

Ashton -All things must come to an end, and we’re talking about more than just “Two and a Half Men” here. Specifically, we’re talking in terms of Walden Schmidt and Alan Harper’s marriage. Now that the two parties have the adoption of Louis finalized, they are ready to prepare for a divorce. Or, at lease Ashton Kutcher’s character is. Alan seems to be a little less sure, but there’s nothing that he can really do about it in the first place since he has very few cards that he can really play.

The most notable change in here is that both Alan and Walden seem to now be happy in committed relationships. Obviously, Alan managed to convince Lyndsey to take him back, and we knew already that Walden and Ms. McMartin are now an item. We are building to the endgame, and given the rumors about Charlie Sheen returning next week, the show obviously wanted to tie together the romantic subplots.

One thing that we do clearly know that we want right now is at least something in these final three episodes as a reminder that at one point, Alan was at least a reasonably competent adult capable of caring for himself. He had just fallen more on hard times. Go back and watch season 1 Alan, and compare him to the pathetic louse of a man we have today. Can we have a slight reversion back to that Alan, or are we too far gone at this point?

This episode airs tomorrow night, and we’ll have a full review of it up after it wraps.
