‘The Flash’ episode 14 preview: Time travel enters world of Grant Gustin’s Barry

The Flash -Ever since you figured out that Harrison Wells was the Man in the Yellow Suit, you knew that “The Flash” was going to further incorporate time travel into the story. It is an enormous part of the comics, and sooner or later, you knew that Barry Allen was going to have to figure this out.

Ultimately, next week’s “Fallout” may be that opportunity. Barry will learn quite a bit about this science from Dr. Stein, while the return of General Eiling means some significant trouble for Firestorm. Right when you start to think that Caitlin Snow could have a happy ending here, something like this has to come around and rain (or snow?) on her parade. This episode looks to be all sorts of crazy, and the synopsis below is just a taste of what you can expect to see:

“After the nuclear explosion separates Ronnie (guest star Robbie Amell) and Dr. Stein (guest star Victor Garber), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team believe both men are safe. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is thrilled to have her fiancĂ© back and prepares to resume their life together while Dr. Stein returns to his wife. However, when General Eiling (guest star Clancy Brown) targets Firestorm, Ronnie and Dr. Stein must decide if they are safer together or apart. Meanwhile, Mason Bridge (guest star Roger Hayworth) tells Iris (Candice Patton) that there is something secretive going on at S.T.A.R. Labs and Dr. Stein gives Barry some important information about time travel.”

Honestly, we’re shocked that time travel is starting to become a little more of a component in the story already. That is such a tricky thing from a story perspective, and we wondered if this was more of a finale story.
