‘The Flash’ episode 13 preview: Can Barry, Caitlin convince Firestorm to come in?

There is no doubting the coolness of the Firestorm character on “The Flash.” We also greatly admire the dedication to the source material that the writers are choosing to go with here. It must have not been easy to figure out how to adapt this story to TV audiences; Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein merged within one body is not what we would consider a “traditional TV concept.” As a matter of fact, this is probably as far from something like that as something could be. It’s a risk, but one that is proving to be worthwhile.

Unfortunately for Caitlin Snow, to date she has had virtually zero success in convincing Ronnie that he should come in to STAR Labs … in part because it appears like Martin is steering the ship here. Luckily, the sneak peek below showcases someone else being able to get through to this character; specifically, someone with ties to Martin (who will be played in the episode by Victor Garber).

By the end of this episode, we will hopefully have an opportunity to find out whether or not these two sides to the same man can become separated for good, and what the consequences could be of such a move. For now, it at least seems as though he is willing to go into the lab for help, and that is a start … along with being a tiny sliver of hope for Caitlin. She was just starting to believe that she had lost her fiance forever, and now a little bit of hope remains.
