‘The Bachelor’ review: Were Kelsey Poe, Ashley Iaconetti, Megan Bell sent home by Chris Soules?
Tonight, “The Bachelor” aired an episode on ABC that was billed time and time again as one of the best that we’ve ever seen. Did it really live up to those expectations? It was certainly intense for the majority of it, especially thanks to the rise in tension between Ashley Iaconetti and Kelsey Poe. These two clearly do not like each other … at all.
Therefore, was there anything better than the two getting a two-on-one date together? It was pretty clear that they would fight on it, and there was a part of us pleading to have him pull a Jake Pavelka and send them both home. After the two more or less threw each other under the bus (they saw it coming, they got the bus schedule), we saw first and foremost Chris decide to send Ashley home. This resulted in quite possibly the biggest meltdown we’ve seen to date, as she was off somewhere crying over not getting a “second chance.”
Then, boom! Chris also sent Kelsey home. This was unintentionally hilarious, since Kelsey was trying to celebrate “winning” the date without realizing that she was about get rejected as well. When the suitcase was pulled from the hotel, the women celebrated like they won the Super Bowl.
Elsewhere tonight, the group date was all sorts of intense and dramatic for a variety of different reasons. For example, Britt got the rose, even though she loathes country music seemingly. This made everyone else upset, like it would at this point in the competition no matter who got the rose.
We don’t want to focus much on that one-on-one date, mostly because Chris and Becca are pretty dull. It’s not necessarily that they are bad people (they’re cute together), but from an entertainment standpoint, there really is not a whole lot to like here.
We still don’t know the results of the Rose Ceremony or much else, but this was such an INSANE episode that we really don’t mind. Grade: B+.
