‘Glee’ season 6: On Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, and more at DGA Awards

The wait begins -While the awards show tonight that everyone is talking about is the Grammys (and for good reason), there was another ceremony on Saturday that drew at least a few headlines of its own: The Directors Guild of America Awards, otherwise known as the DGA Awards. This is where some of the best in the business are honored for their work, and we’re thrilled that this group exists. After all, they remain some of the unsung heroes of the television medium.

So why were Lea Michele and Jane Lynch both present? While the “Glee” stars are not necessarily known as directors, they each did have a connection to the ceremony. Lynch hosted it, and Lea was a presenter for it. The President of the guild is also Paris Barclay, a friend of Lea’s who has also directed many episodes of “Glee.” He may also be one of the reasons that Lea got a chance to do a guest spot on “Sons of Anarchy,” where he served as an executive producer.

Lea and Jane are still in the process of filming the final season of “Glee,” which is something that we imagine that they are going to be doing for at least a little while still. The show will end at some point next month with a two-hour spectacular that will hopefully give you everything you are hoping for.

As for this photo below featuring Lea and Barbra Streisand, Michele most-likely shared this on Twitter due to Streisand being one of her personal idols.
