‘True Detective’ season 2: When could HBO air first promo?
It has been a while since we have had anything substantial to write about when it comes to “True Detective,” and there is a reason for that: The series is currently in the process of filming its second season in California, and the set is extremely secretive. We have no interest in posting set photos, either, since those are not licensed and we don’t support that kind of nonsense.
With all of this being said, isn’t it time to start thinking a little bit about what the future could hold for us as viewers? It’s already been over a year since the first season premiered, and we understand the craving to get further information since this series was outstanding.
Unfortunately, we have a feeling that you are going to be waiting for quite a while still to see HBO unveil what is the first trailer or even a teaser for the new season. They know that the series is probably not going to premiere until at least summer, so why start the promotional campaign so early? There is probably not even anything to show beyond just concept art or a logo with a “coming soon” date attached to it.
Our guess at the moment is that we will get our first real glimpse of what season 2 has to offer closer to a premiere date for another popular show airing on the network, come April 12. This is the premiere night for “Game of Thrones,” and that means maximum exposure. HBO has a tendency to run their promos right before their episodes, and they save the big announcements for when they know there will be viewers watching live.
Don’t worry; we will have more updates related to “True Detective” whenever they do happen to come out. You can head over here right away to get some of the latest scoop.
