‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12, episode 13 review: Did Walden break up with Ms. McMartin?
Over the past couple of weeks on “Two and a Half Men,” we’ve bore witness to Walden Schmidt living in fear, and for a variety of different reasons related to the adoption process.
What Walden realized quickly was that he was being with his social worker out of fear, he decided that he needed to do the right thing here and break up with her. Ultimately, he decided that this was what he wanted to do … and she was surprisingly cool with it despite her crazy antics of before.
Meanwhile, Alan realized that he had a chance to be with Lyndsey, but at the same time, he didn’t want to move away from his house. Typical Alan, and it actually took the two parties realizing that they were both making bonehead decisions before they decided to try to make things right.
So after the adoption papers went through, Walden ran back to Ms. McMartin, and it seems like these two may actually be endgame for each other. Who would’ve imagined that? It does make at least a little sense, since she seems to be a combination of sorts of Bridget, Rose, and Kate, three women from his past.
As for Alan … he’s just screwed for now. He has to find a way to make sure that Lyndsey does end up staying around, and giving him a chance to realize his mistake. This is finally his chance to grow up, and the fact that he is acting on it is a big sign that we really are near the end of the show. He wouldn’t have done this previously. Grade: B.
