‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 13 review: Elena and Damon’s move; Bonnie’s message
Thursday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries” did not necessarily feel like it was one meant to tie together much of anything at all. However, it wasn’t really meant to. The majority of the cliffhangers tonight are going to stretch into what happens on the show next week, and hopefully, most of everything that comes along with them will be amazing.
The one thing that is at least fairly definitive right now is that it appears as though Damon and Elena are officially a go again. Hooray to that! After a long time spent in the whole will-they-or-won’t-they drama, we can now say with some confidence that it looks very clearly like they will. They are at least back together for now, and they seem to be happy.
Unfortunately, Bonnie is still not back, but in the midst of a birthday celebration, she may have a clue to get her closer to Mystic Falls and that world than she has been. We feel for Kat Graham having to spend so much time this season in isolation, but won’t this make the inevitable return all the sweeter?
The sad thing is that with this return comes a departure, and the show is clearly setting up Jeremy’s exit from the series already. He is getting set to apply for art school, which for him is a chance to actually move on, and avoid much of the pain and the drama that exists within this world. We don’t blame him for feeling this way, and can say that with a ton of confidence given what he’s been through. Episode Grade: B.
