‘Criminal Minds’ season 10, episode 14 video: How Reid tries to cope

Criminal Minds -It cannot be particularly easy the majority of the time to work at the BAU on “Criminal Minds.” Every week, it seems like you have someone new to track down who is responsible for a series of unspeakable, terrible things. You have to figure out a way to deal with this, and then have a little bit of time when the dust settles that you can try to relax before the next terrible person comes along to star making everyone miserable.

For Reid, apparently his strategy right now is to not relax at all, but to spend almost every waking second trying to focus. In the sneak peek below from Wednesday night’s new episode, we learn that one of his ways in which to handle everything in the world is through a simple game of chess. It makes a little bit of sense in a way, since through this game, he can improve his concentration and focus.

With this being said, it feels very clear that Rossi is worried about the guy. How can you not be, when you start to see that someone has spent more than 24 hours in a row focusing so intently on one thing? It does make us wonder with someone like Rossi if he is potentially set to have some sort of breakdown, or if all of the pressure of his present situation is really about to get to him in some sort of dire, serious way. Luckily, we’re not there yet.

Tomorrow marks the first episode of the February sweeps for the series, but don’t worry: There are many more exciting ones to follow this one out throughout the month, and they will contain a variety of different character spotlights.
