‘Shameless’ season 5, episode 5 preview: After the Emmy Rossum – Fiona shocker…

As it turns out, Pete Carroll is not the only person to make a shocking decision during primetime. During tonight’s new episode of “Shameless,” we had a chance to bear witness to what was one of the biggest surprise endings that we’ve seen on the series so far.

Basically, Fiona and Gus are now married … even though the two barely know each other! Who saw this coming? We actually expected that this season was going to revolve more around Emmy Rossum’s character dealing with a number of male suitors. However, the thing to remember here is that she very clearly is still an impulsive character. She likes to think in the moment, and there are many times in which that can get her in trouble.

Who knows? Maybe this ends up somehow being the right move, and Fiona becomes truly happy as a result of this. Crazier things have happened, so we’ll take somewhat of a wait and see approach here. Regardless, though, we are sure that there will be some trouble that rises from this current situation.
