‘Heroes: Reborn’ video: See the new teaser trailer with Jack Coleman!

Heroes -While NBC has really made you wait for quite a while when it comes to “Heroes: Reborn,” the network did give us a lovely present at the end of the Super Bowl tonight: One of the first teasers for the show’s return this summer.

It has been many years since we first saw the franchise, and what will be interesting as a result of that is seeing just how much this world has changed. We know already that neither Zachary Quinto nor Milo Ventimiglia are planning to return to the series, which means that other than the Horn-Rimmed Glasses (Jack Coleman), we are going to have a variety of new characters and cast members and Zachary Levi is one of them (as huge “Chuck” fans we couldn’t have been happier with this casting news). The video gives us a quick look at the man otherwise known as Noah, and some of that familiar music is thrown in there as well.

Now of course, what we wonder is whether or not executive producer Tim Kring is looking at this show at the moment as any sort of redemption. If you remember back to when the show was in its final two seasons, this was one of the most-criticized series out there. A great premise was marred by a lack of forward-thinking, and there was no cohesion to make anything interesting. Sylar in particular became a neutered character.

Hopefully, having a shorter season is going to help the show tell a more serialized story that carries over well from one week to the next. We feel like summer is the right place for this, and we could see it lasting for a while.
