‘How to Get Away with Murder’ spoilers: Does another big shock lie ahead?
You’ve been waiting for a long time to see the return of “How to Get Away with Murder” to ABC, and the good news that we have for you now is simply this: The wait is almost over! More installments are coming to the network on Thursday night, and just based on the network and the timeslot, you can be on their being a premium put on shocking moments.
Now that we’ve said this, do we really think that the show is going to be emphasizing these? Not necessarily. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Pete Nowalk makes it clear that his primary goal is to tell a great story, and not just focus on huge moments like the one of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) removing her wig that had all of the public talking:
“I don’t know [if there is a similar shocker ahead]. I never thought, ‘Do we have one scene that will make people pay attention?’ And that’s not how that [wig removal] scene came about at all. All the stars just aligned — Viola is such an amazing, deep, layered actress that I didn’t even see beforehand the emotional impact that wound up having on everyone. So no, part of me doesn’t know if we do have a scene that good. Hopefully the stories are just as intriguing, though, and the episodes end with really exciting twists.”
What we suppose you can count on is that there will be twists, and quite a few of them. The show still has the Lila Stangard case hanging over it, and there is also the question of how long Sam’s murder can be kept quiet.
