‘Agent Carter’ episode 5 preview: First look at ‘The Iron Ceiling’

So far on “Agent Carter,” our title character has already been through quite a bit. Not only is she having to take on the next-to-impossible task of being a hero and a spy without all of the good graces of modern technology, but she also has to buck expectations for women in her time period, and deal with constant questions of loyalty.

The good news when it comes to “The Iron Ceiling” is that she is going to have more of a chance to shine in the field than ever before. Unfortunately for Hayley Atwell’s character, she will find that this mission is a good bit more challenging than she first imagined. For a few more details on the subject, take a look at the official synopsis below:

“Peggy is finally trusted with a mission and calls upon her trusted Howling Commandos squad for backup. But her cover could be at risk when SSR Chief Dooley also sends Agent Thompson with her.”

For those curious, “Agent Carter” has wrapped production, and that means that theoretically, Atwell could have filmed her final scenes already as Peggy for this show. If there is some good news that we can offer you, though, it is that some of the creative team behind the series does envision there being another season of the show. That will always come down to ratings; ABC wants to probably continue promoting Marvel properties, but they want to see some solid performances at the same time. As of right now, it may actually be a little too soon to know just what the future holds for the show.
