‘Glee’ season 6: Were the ratings for Lea Michele series any higher with DVR included?

The wait begins -DVR ratings are something that we consistently love to check out, mostly because it can give us a much better determination as to whether or not a hit show is going to stay on the air, or go the way of the dodo.

When it comes to “Glee,” this is a little bit of a different situation than most other shows on TV. After all, we know already that this is the final season. So why even care about its numbers? The only reason we can give you right now is that there is still a certain amount of fun that comes with seeing if the show’s lower numbers are because of a lack of interest, or because fewer people are watching just because of the timeslot. At the end of the day, it turns out that the end result is a little bit of both.

The premiere of the show on January 9 rose to a 1.3 rating once the entire live+7 viewing figures were tabulated, which is an increase of over 63% from where it was originally. Is this great news? We suppose that it would be if we were talking about a show on The CW!

However, this is “Glee,” which was at one point a ratings juggernaut, and this is probably even more validation that the show probably does not have the numbers to justify a season 6. With that being said, we are glad for Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, the rest of the cast, and their fans that they can have a proper conclusion to the show.
