‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 spoilers: How does Thomas Jefferson enter the picture?

While “Sleepy Hollow” has been a little all over the place at times during the second season, there is one thing that we have always appreciated from the show: Getting the opportunity to see new versions of historical figures! We’ve seen Benjamin Franklin and George Washington already, but come the February 9 episode of the show, one person we are going to see is Thomas Jefferson!

“What Lies Beneath” is the name for this 16th episode of season 2, and one thing that is immediately interesting about his appearance is that he will not be featured in the past. Instead, Ichabod and Abbie are going to be finding him in the present … and in a pretty shocking place. Take a look at the synopsis below:

“Ichabod and Abbie face demonic creatures that guard a secret crypt and encounter Thomas Jefferson (guest star Steven Weber) in their quest to fight evil. Meanwhile, Jenny learns a shocking secret about Frank Irving.”

So where will we see this story goes in the end? The major thing that we can hope for are some further twists and turns that continue to surprise us. This is a show that has come up with many fantastic ways to twist history, and we’ll surely see that again.

As for the Frank Irving story, we’re still trying to figure out just what role he has to play moving forward. After all, we are still reeling for the most part from the realization that the guy is still even alive. (Maybe this will give Jenny something better to do after being off the map at times.)
