‘The Flash’ spoilers: Emily Bett Rickards, Brandon Routh to appear

Arrow -While “Arrow” and “The Flash” may not necessarily be doing a full-fledged crossover episode again this season (at least per current indications), it does look like you will see at least two other familiar faces on the latter show by the time the season is over.

According to Variety, Emily Bett Rickards and Brandon Routh are going to take their roles as Felicity Smoak and Ray Palmer in the eighteenth episode of the show. While we would necessarily take this as a definitive sign that the two characters are together romantically at the time, they are at least tied into the lives of one another.

Speaking to the website, we got the following quote courtesy of executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. Think of this as another dosage of insight into the story, and what could be coming up for some of the characters within this particular environment:

“…Ray Palmer is all about technology and STAR Labs is all about technology. We get to see Ray so happy to be in STAR Labs… With Cisco [Carlos Valdes] and Ray, they’re new best friends. The STAR Labs team is going to help Ray further his ATOM project.”

We are still rather curious as to what the future really holds for Palmer. We don’t get the sense that the show wants him to be seen as a villain, but is he really a hero with his lofty goals? We’ll have to see on that, but given the spin-off rumors, we at least feel like he will be portrayed well moving to the end of the season.

Do not expect this episode to air until at least April.
