‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Owen and Callie’s alliance and more

OwenFor most of this season of “Grey’s Anatomy,” there has been a big question hanging over the Owen character: Is he ready to go out and hit the dating scene again? It’s difficult for a man like him, and mostly due to a combination of his job, and also his previous relationship with Cristina. That is not the sort of love that is easy to get over.

When you consider this, Kevin McKidd’s character may be the sort of guy who really needs help to move forward, and luckily, it seems like he is going to have that courtesy of Callie (Sara Ramirez). The 10th episode this season airing on Thursday, February 5 is entitled “The Bed’s Too Big Without You,” and the synopsis below suggests that a sense of loneliness for each character will be a prevailing storyline:

“April stays optimistic as Arizona begins testing on her baby; Dr. Herman plans out a crash course in fetal surgery; and Owen and Callie encourage each other to get back into the dating scene. Meanwhile, Meredith, Maggie and Bailey use the 3D printer to gain a better understanding of their patient’s tumor.”

This episode looks ultimately be a strong one, mostly because it should be a very good opportunity to see so many different characters try to move forward, even if not all of them (see April) are going through particularly happy times. For Dr. Herman, her mission is going to be trying to pass on as much valuable information as she can in an extremely short period of time.
