LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian’s VH1 reality show canceled

VH1 -Well, can you really say that you are surprised by this news? After just one low-rated season, VH1 has officially pulled the plug on their LeAnn Rimes – Eddie Cibrian reality show entitled “LeAnn & Eddie.” the focus of this series was on chronicling more or less the couple’s everyday lives, and we feel to a certain extent they also wanted to try and dispel some of the gossip that surrounds their lives.

What this really shows above all else is more proof that in this day and age, you really cannot start a new reality show about your life as a famous person. It just doesn’t work anymore. “Total Divas” is the last show in this format that we would consider a hit, and the biggest reason for that is because it had the presence of some WWE personalities behind it.

Also, there is also just the feeling that Rimes and Cibrian just are not that popular anymore. The biggest press we ever saw this show get was after the fact, when Brandi Glanville was getting very angry about some of what LeAnn was saying on her own reality show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Nobody seems to have a whole lot to say back when it was actually on the air.

VH1 clearly will have plenty of other ways that they can go when it comes to some of their programming. As for the future of LeAnn and Eddie on TV, their best bet may be to find new gigs in country music and acting. Enough time will pass eventually that they can start to be forgotten for some of the tabloid news.
