‘The Flash’ episode 10 video: The latest Barry Allen, Harrison Wells conversation

At the end of the winter finale for “The Flash,” we had a rather enormous shocker courtesy of the news that Harrison Wells was hardly just a brilliant man at the center of STAR Labs. He also happens to be (seemingly) the Reverse Flash, a man from the future with the ability to go toe-to-toe with everything that Barry Allen does.

Is he truly a villain, though? That is something that is still to be seen. Barry specifically thanks Wells for “challenging” him in the sneak peek below from Tuesday night’s “Revenge of the Rogues,” and the question we believe you are left to wonder is effectively rather simple: Is it possible that Wells is preparing him for something far more terrible to come? Was killing his mother a necessary evil to put him on this path? So far, Harrison’s visions have seemed to be tied to trying to prepare Barry in some way for the future, as evidenced further by the newspaper headlines and the nature of some of the missions that he has been sent on.

We don’t expect any answer one way or another for some time. After all, Barry is going to be rather busy tonight dealing with something a little more substantial, which includes the return of Captain Cold and the arrival of Heat Wave. Basically, this is two times worse than the previous time he met up with the foe, who is in possession of an extremely dangerous cold gun.
