‘The Bachelor’: Chris Harrison insists Chris Soules – Whitney Bischoff wedding crashing was real

Bachelor -Is there some controversy when it comes to the latest episode of “The Bachelor” on ABC? It definitely feels that way, but not in the same sort of way that we are accustomed to with this show.

Instead of there being some sort of nasty drama between the women last night, one of the real surprises came when Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff decided at some point to crash a wedding. Was this all real? Everyone associated with the show is insisting that it was not planned, and the footage that they got was genuine. Chris Harrison wrote a new entry of his Yahoo TV blog this morning, and within it explained to the best of his ability how all of this managed to happen successfully:

“I have to give massive props to our crew that night. With just a few cameras and the cover of darkness they hid from a distance and somehow covered the wedding as best they could without being seen. As Chris mentioned, a producer or two also snuck in and shot some video on their phones as if they were family or friends just capturing the moments. It was genius on-the-fly television producing that was so well done it looked planned, but I promise you it wasn’t. Towards the end I think people started recognizing Chris, but for most of the night they just blended in and had a blast at Nick and Shannon’s wedding.”

Sure we can go on and on with conspiracies theories here or claim that the bride and groom may have been tipped off that something crazy was coming, what would be the point in that? The only thing that we will say here is that obviously, the happy couple had no problem with this airing on TV. After all, they would have had to go in and sign releases for every single person at the wedding in order for them to be shown on TV. The only argument that you could make here for there being some pre-planning is that had no one at the wedding wanted to sign a release, then the show would have wasted a ton of money and footage.
