‘Glee’ season 6 spoilers: Heather Morris, Naya Rivera, and family problems

As you saw on this past new episode of “Glee” season 6, Brittany and Santana are now engaged! Isn’t that something worth celebrating? It definitely is if you are a fan of either one of those characters.

However, just because they are happy with their life choices doesn’t mean that they are going to be getting support from everyone else, and this in many ways is going to be the focus for the upcoming sixth episode of this season (airing on Friday, February 6) entitled “What the World Needs Now.” In addition to being another musical tribute, this installment will feature Naya Rivera and Heather Morris’ characters dealing with some stumbling blocks on the way to the altar. Meanwhile, the return of Mercedes to the series could also mean some big things for Rachel. Take a look at the attached synopsis for more:

“Brittany and Santana have some family convincing to do. Meanwhile, during a Burt Bacharach tribute week, Mercedes returns to Ohio to convince Rachel to pursue her Broadway dreams.”

What makes this tricky is that we really haven’t seen a whole lot of Brittany’s family, so we have no idea if they are going to be okay with her marrying Santana or not. (We do know now that Ken Jeong is playing her dad!) We already know that Santana’s grandmother was completely against the idea, even if her own mother (Gloria Estefan) was fairly supportive.

This episode is almost the halfway point of “Glee” this season, so this is where the final endgame for these characters should at least start to become a little bit cleaer.
