‘Orphan Black’ season 3 spoilers: Exec on Rachel’s future
While there are many clones on “Orphan Black,” everyone has their favorites, and nobody wants to see any of them go. After all, that would mean less time for Tatiana Maslany to play some of her magic on the small screen.
So with that, isn’t it nice to know that Rachel is not actually dead? This is a character who got a most unfortunate pencil in the eye during the season 2 finale, but is somehow going to find a way to make it through. With that being said, this character is going to hardly be the same one that many remember when she returns again. She will be dealing still with the ramifications of what happened to her, and some of those could be painful.
For a little more scoop on that, let’s turn to what executive producer John Fawcett had to say on this particular subject to Entertainment Weekly:
“She’s alive … How do you take someone like that and then f— them up? How do they respond to that? This is someone who has a ton of power, really, and thrives on [being above the other clones]. Now to be less than perfect and to have her authority and power stripped from her, that’s an interesting journey that character could be on this year.”
Someone is going to step up to take more of a leadership role in DYAD after what happened to here, and while there may not be a whole lot of details on this yet, let’s just say that you could end up being very much surprised by what happens and who takes that role.
